past weekend and I must say that I was treat with the upmost respect and I felt
like family. I wan grands in the old mans division as Noelle Bolin won Wemoan's
Grand, Layton Won his division and everyone was so happy. Out of all the NBL,
DOJO, MATT, and VKA tournaments that I have been This NASKA tournament was by
far the best. I have been in Karate for a very long time and still find
Promoters treating me and my team as we were NOTHING, the over charge me as the
try to cheat My Players. Mr. Dewey Earwood and the NASKA family has mad it so
that I want to train and compete as I use to. Karate at Dixieland was fun again
as I will be back. We as the Fighter, coaches, and Spectators should feel at
home and NASKA and DixieLand has me feeling every bit of Proud. Dewey Thank you
so much and know that Team Unity loves you and will do all that we can to help
you grow. GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Thank you, Sensei Earwood and staff, for hosting such a hospitable tournament.
We had a truly memorable time at this year's Dixieland Nationals. The night
time show, with angelic stage, was refreshing to see children's underbelt forms
grands alternating with black belts. What an honor it was to perform
synchronized Taiji with my coach/mom to open the Saturday night show! We will
treasure the honor with the beautiful red horse and big black belt trophies. We
look forward to next year's Dixielands =)"

In the heart of NBL Country and with only 5 world NASKA promoters present plus Mr. Earwood, we were able to complete the First World NASKA rated Dixieland Nationals in a strong fashion. Although the overall numbers were small, there was a strong and talented number of world NASKA competitors on hand to put on a great show. I actually witnessed NBL promotes literally saying they had chills running down their back seeing the level of talent on stage. I talked to several NBL competitors that said they are know going to follow NASKA. The tournament left a great impression on those who saw their first NASKA World Rated tournament. I know they will be back next year and I sure they will spread the word that NASKA is in town.
I would like the thank the world promoters on hand. I know you worked extra hard because there was so few of us on hand. Without your unselfish efforts the Dixieland Nationals could not have happen. I would also like to thank Anthony Tucker who drove all night and judged all day Saturday without any sleep. You are a great asset to NASKA and your comedy keeps us laughing and laughing . It was also great to see Magic Johnson. He helped all day Saturday and made all of us feel welcome in Charlotte, his home town.
Lastly I would like to congratulate and thank Dewey. I know what you were up against going into a non-NASKA area and without a lot of help was very difficult. Your positive attitude to bring NASKA to the Carolina's is very appreciated. I hope we can do more for you next year.

Sensei,
I wanted to let you know how wonderful Dixieland was this year. The show Saturday night was awesome. You told me that Tina Turner would be there and it was good to see her perform (LOL).
I was in awe of the talent that competed at Dixieland and was excited to see the diverse age groups. It shows that you are never too old to do what you enjoy.
Frank came home and picked up his sai's. He has been working on Sai I ever seen. It really has motivated him to be a better martial artist. He was truly amazed by those in Team God Squad. He has also been talking about Jacob Pinto, from California, all day.
Thank you for inviting us to join in on the fun.
Take Care,
Debbie
